what’s wrong with yahoo profile?

My friend’s Yahoo messenger status is below :
Yo i’m bored as hell, come chat with me! chat w me AIM: sexyhottie19855
geez, i am curious.. howcome this person could log in to my friend’s account? she changedmy friend’s yahoo profile (better change this password quickly before this person starts sending spam using my friend’s account)
who the hell are you??

I have the same problem…and the comment apears in my messanger list, please tell me if you know what the problem is…
how can I fix it.

nothing in particular actually.. because avira could not detect any viruses in my friend’s PC. Basically, what I did was only re-edit her profile (profile.yahoo.com), delete her status, changed her yahoo password, and put her status onto a private profile.

I had the same thing happen to me, she logged in put her picture up on my page and then put that message in there she even changed my ENTIRE profile and message. to ( there are plenty of fish in the sea, but who wants to date a fish-600 ) why is she putting the numbers? is she counting as to how many of these profiles she has gotten in to?

hehe, i don’t know yet.. it is quite annoying to know that they managed to get into our profile.. just ignore her, change your password, and edit your profile.

o and the picture she put on mine was different. it said she was from Tennessee and she was 19. her name was Beatrix or something like that

I had the same thing happen to me. But my picture was a young colored girl. The name my account was changed to was Carla Lester and the person was 22 yrs old from Texas…. I have not been in my account for about one month but they hacked it two days ago. I also saw an account when I searched “sexyhottie19855″ that was not used since 2000 but was hacked about 2 weeks ago. I changed my password and I hope that helps but if anyone knows how to get them to stop doing this please let me know how I can help.

I found 18 more on Yahoo. From Yahoo USA, Yahoo India, Yahoo En Espanol, and Yahoo Singapore. Just by googling ’sexhottie19855′ and ‘cutiegirly151986′ the second one was on a profile with the first.. All the pictures are different but one thing that they have in common is that they are all from the USA and it doesnt matter if you are female or male they will hack your account. I did print them off if anyone is interested in the yahoo names.

uhm, i had the same problem.
my friend told me that my profile was changed,, and i didn’t know….
then, i changed my profile back to the first,,
for everyone, stay alert!

Same thing to me. Changed my status, changed all my profile back to the initial one. Now my friends see my real status in the messenger list but, when they click my avatar, the status “I’m horny , come chat with me! chat w me AIM: sexyhottie19855″ (or something like that) is displayed. Anyone knows how to get rid of this? I don’t want to delete my profile, but i will eventually.

Same thing with me. A new profile was set up in my account. “Heidi Cain” aka “teenagemama184765.” It sent out message to contact it’s AIM profile @ cutiegirly151986.
This is clearly not some bored girl. It’s much more organized and malicious.
I reported it to yahoo, and within minutes the bogus profile had disappeared. I suspect whoever broke into the account undid the damage, to avoid detection. Who knows.
At this point, it would be wise to consider anything in a yahoo email account as publicly available information, and use due diligence.

same thing happened to me. how can we report this i also have a diff pic and diff profile.. they might be using pics that we have and is putting it on others email… i was just out for 3 days and when i returned someone alrdy change my profile. do you think they stole all info on my email i have lots of personal information there

It’s not a “person.” It’s a crime organization. It’s Russian mobsters or Nigerian scam artists or some such thing. They’re using those profiles to lure suckers. I’m guessing they’re using other people’s yahoo accounts to make it harder to trace back to the source.

this happened to me too. at first i thought it was a yahoo thing — to have someone’s pic in my profile when i log in like a kind of promotion (yeah right!)….then i realized…somebody HAD changed my entire profile. lucky the password was untouched….so i changed the password, but then i found out the hacker changed the security question!!!!! so there’s no point really changing passwords if your security question has been compromised. the hacker also used my email to create accounts on different sites like slide and photobucket and they all show an asian girl (as opposed to the blonde girl pic in the profile. i suggest you go through your inbox using key search words like password, account, verification — to find out what the hacker has been doing with your account. to my horror — it actually has been going on since 2007!!! so better check. this person seems to have been active in May 2008, but i found that she/he has created accounts using my email since 2008 and 2007. you probably don’t notice it because the emails have been put in the read section so you think you’ve already read something…
had personal info in my emails…so i quickly had to go to sites i use and change the passwords..i still feel very unsure though about the security of my other sites…

Well I had the same problem as all of you did. Her name was some Katie Cromton and changed my profile pic to some half clad girl with some message-”hey anyone wanna chat? hit me up on AIM: cutiegirly151986″ and also wrote-”There is a sick child who needs your help. He/She is dying of a disease called boredom. If you want to make a contribution to help save thei “. I have now changed my password and has deleted her pic and image. And thanks to you all guys now i can access my id rather freely.

I have same problem also..my friends saw something on my status then they click it. then it appear some “naughty/ porn” pict with naughty comment also. so I changed my password of my YM id.. nothing happend for a while untill today it appears again..So annoying!!!

I had the same problem! Except mine was Taniyah Albert it had a pic with some skanky blonde chic wanting to chat. Luckily I dont use my email with yahoo alot for important things. Oh and they changed my security question too! Somebody needs to do something with this.
